School Photo Sessions
We specialize in children and bring our studio to local schools for class photo sessions. Please contact us to book your school.
- Each child will be photographed individually.
- You will receive a link of your images in a private gallery in approximately one week where you can order prints, photo gifts and high-resolution downloads that will be delivered directly to you.
- Schools are paid a commission based on sales.
About Firefly Portraits
We bring the photography studio to you with a simple, elegant portrait setting to capture the playful, authentic moments of childhood that are so fleeting. We love kids and believe that shows in our photography. We are fun and fast!
Lisa Slavens, Photographer & Co-owner
Lisa is a mother of 5 adult children from college-age to 30’s and 5 grandchildren under the age of 6. Her love of photography began as a young mom, always behind the camera capturing memories. She follows in her late father Paul’s (or Popi, to his grandkids) footsteps as he was a photographer who found his passion taking beautiful landscapes of his travels and, funny enough, photographing and developing children’s school portraits in his home lightroom. Lisa delights in capturing the true essence of a child’s personality, whether that involves a moody glare, a big toothless smile, or the occasional nose-pick (don’t worry, we offer more than one image for each child).
Dawn Young, Sales & Marketing and Co-owner
Dawn is a mother of 3 adult children ranging from college-age to 30’s and is patiently awaiting grandchildren. Her background in sales and an entrepreneur spirit led her to open her own business in Winter Park in 1995, the Cookie Florist; then years later, a playground equipment company in 2004 with her husband, Dave, called Creative Playthings. Her passion for play and imagination is apparent upon meeting her, and the joy she derives from little ones runs deep. After meeting fellow Francophile Lisa through an ad she posted about swapping their family apartment in Paris with a mountain or beach house, the two became fast friends and have been scheming ever since about how to use their passions and gifts once their kids flew the coop. And voila! Firefly Portraits was born.
